Safe n Sane ::

Here in Frederick County, MD the tradition following High School graduations is a party called Safe n Sane for the graduates. I love that the parents, the faculties, the community and others get behind this endeavor. Over the past couple of years I have attended the Linganore High School Party and they do a phenomenal job throwing a great party! With no Lancers graduating this year, well there are graduates just no SMYDEKers graduating I should say. I hung my hopes on helping with the Urbana High School night. As time went by and I kept putting off getting in contact I figured my gig was up and that I would get the year off.

My gig was not up! Just this week I got word that they could use my services (if staying up all night are services??) and I was back in business. i will be heading over to the Frederick SportsPlex around midnight and will be on duty until 4am. I am looking forward to seeing some of our students and spending some time in their world. I’m hoping that they don’t ignore me....
