CityReach 2009 :: Saturday edition

Welcome. CityReach is off to a rapid beginning and today will be full of preparation and team building. Chris, Josh and I arrived around 1:00am Friday to assist Aaron Johnson and his staff with last minute things and to welcome and celebrate a CityReachers arrival. I am wondering now if I potentially added more stress to AJ's life with the drama that was Friday?

The deal of the day on woot(.com) is a three piece luggage set for $99.99. That's sweet action!

The rest of The Valley crew arrived approximately 5:30pm and they were in grand spirits. There is something that is just renewing to be around these students when they are just out of school! I know that they are going to do great things this week in service to God and to the community of Washington. If you are not already planning to do so - get on track with praying for all things CityReach. Here's some of what that entails if you don't have a clue...

strength
endurance
boldness
courage
spirit of God moving
opportunities to love
opportunities to share Christ
soft hearts
ten people to be baptized
cityreach board
safety
unity

"None of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." Romans 14:7-8

Kind of reminds me of Mr. Miyagi - "win, lose no matter"

I love how the message puts v. 9 ::
That's why Jesus lived and died and then lived again: so that he could be our Master across the entire range of life and death, and free us from the petty tyrannies of each other.
