As two thousand nine has officially been “rung” in it is time to reflect as well as look ahead. I’m not really big on New Years “Resolutions” - truthfully most of the time the only thing that really happens as a result of them is that my gym gets really really crowded for about three weeks!
Last year my challenge was to go to the gym a total of 210 times in 2008. It is with mixed emotions that I report that I did NOT meet my goal. If my calculations are correct I made it to the gym or ran a total of 198 times last year. I am really proud of this and know that it is something that continues to be a part of my life style. I even received a Garmin GPS running watch for Christmas. I will again shoot for 210 in ’09....
My newest challenge though is a result of having an extreme abundance of t-shirts. I love them, I can’t help it. Towards the end of last year I even instilled a t-shirt policy which stipulated how t-shirts could be purchased:
basically they had to either be on a crazy sale or purchased from Goodwill! I guess that this policy will remain in effect for the time being. The challenge though is that I will be attempting to wear a different t-shirt each day until I run out. I won’t bore you with all the specifics other than to say that I think this is going to be hard. There are some shirts that I just love to wear and I won’t be able to until ALL other shirts have been worn.
Pictured above is Jan. 2nd - Day 2 / Shirt 2 :: It was purchased from Goodwill and it is great, except one day I decided to do some painting in it. Oops!
Merry New Year to you all.....
